welp, lets start with the positives. great song idea, good execution, i can tell your a great live sound. no doubt youd be a blast on stage. but lets speak to the mix and recording for a moment.

the first thing i notices was a lack of stereo spectrum in this thing. feels very narrow and dry. I dont wanna say lifeless, but it feels like "hollow". best word i can think of to describe the feel. I would definitely be interested in attempting this mix and being in your shoes, but i would suggest doing something to bring out that rhythm guitar. Perhaps some more clever eqing. that lead guitar riff is actually interesting, it just seems to be overpowering during the verses, i would suggest some compression, just to take that high pitch sibilance down a bit. It attacks the ears a little too hard in my opinion. But i do love the song. i would love to get those vocals to stand out as well. they are there, but man they just need some compression and maybe a little reverb/chorus. again, just to make the sound fatter. Theres more, but i think those little ideas would be great as a start. keep playing with it! its got great potential and it drives me nutz when good songs dont get their due!

many thanks, I have blocked off the entire evening to working on this and one other song (i'm mainly the guitar player). I know that lead riff is a bit loud, not to mention a bit messy. i'll repost later maybe tomorrow with the new version.

thanks again.
