Hip Hop Beat w/ Hooks

Just bought ezdrummer, so I thought I'd try it out on one of my hip-hop beats. Bash it up!

btw I know the auto-tune is too much. I'm planning on retracking once I have the chance.

I'm lovin it, the pianos are sick on this one..I don't feel the autotune is TOO much...I actually like where it's at. The guitars are sick. I don't hear a nice kick? Don't know if that was choice or just product of a weak kick. No bassline?

Thanks for the input man. Yea I'm still working on this one, just thought I'd see what people thought of the acoustic kit. I'm learning more and more that my studio monitoring/room acoustics give me and inaccurate picture of my bass frequencies. I want to get a sub but then I'm worried about too much bass because my studio doesn't have any trapping and I don't have the time or money to deal with that.

a nice set of monitor headphones should give you a feel for the bass without running over the acoustics in your room

i like the beat, i hate the auto tune but thats just me its played out, the hook is tight on its on just layer your vox and let it bang, as for the kick, you can layer mayber a tighter kick sample under your main kick to beef it up but i actually like the sound you have. it sounds like a real fukn drum kit and im diggin that the effects are tight the piano is sick. good work

if your keeping the beat as is, id get a rocker to rip that hook that be sick!

I agree. Earlier I said that I was going to have the vocalist retrack the hook so I don't have to use auto-tune.

as far as my comment about the hook, i meant have a dude that has a grungy rock star sound and let him do the hook.
