Default Fix or Leave Alone?

Do you think I should try to fix this song or leave it asis? I just have a stereo left and right tracks that I imported from tape. If fix, how?

I kinda like the feel, although I think you could do some EQ in the mid range to make it a bit less "muddy". And maybe fade out the end instead of having it just stop dead. But I did enjoy listening.

could you please clarify "imported from tape"? sounds like it's too hot and is therefore distorted

Heres what I did Luccien. I connected the left and right line outs from the reel-to-reel tape deck to the two inputs on my interface. Then I opened Cubase and made two mono tracks. I sent the left input to one and the right input to the other. I started recording on the two mono tracks and then started playback on the tape deck. When I was done I panned the left track all the way left and the right track all the way right. Kind of wierd I know but I wanted two separate tracks so I could do different procesing if iwas needed. I think the distortion came from the original recording.

Cool brodajinjr, well if the distortion is already there then it's there. I know there are ways to clean it up a little, but that's beyond my experience. I just figured your deck had a gain/volume knob on it somewhere that should be tweaked down a hair, but oh well. It still sounds decent. :-)

It needs a lot of work. To much digital distortion. Watch those levels. Bring the lead vocal down. Ozone RX.
