Here's a snippet I did for my next mixtape Hijackin the Beatz.

Sometimes I mix things and they sound wonderfully, and sometimes I mix things and they just don't sound any better than white dog shit.

Flow/lyrics are GREAT. but we don't focus on that here. We focus on quality.

I hate your mix, but love your presence....

I could show u some tips/tricks of the trade to get ur stuff soundin straight.

Like i said, i'm not hatin on the flow! Just the mix.

i think the transition between the sample and the verse could be smoother, the bells come in early and it kinda throws the sample off. kollision is right ur delivery is there, but the sample is killin it.

That is what I am here for! My mixing skills are once in a blue moon, and I don't like it.

I would actually like to know what I need to do to make it proper. If you could show me some tips/tricks of the trade that would be awesome.

Right now I am currently using Sony Monitor Headphones to make my mix with some cheap speakers. Working on getting some actual monitors, don't know how much those will actually help me.

PLEASE ALL HELP IS NEEDED.

a good monitoring setup is paramount to ur success. u can get some good monitors for about 300 bucks, eq'in is also where things come together. i think the sample doesnt mate well with the flo. until u get a good monitoring setup u will be only frustrating yourself trying to mix. remember less is more.

Wouldn't Monitor Headphones present the same use as actual Monitor Speakers?

it depends on the quality of the headphones. you have to watch because of things such as ear fatigue from listening to headphones for long periods of time, etc etc. you mentioned you were using sony's what model are they?

Sony MDR V150. Everything sounds clean and crisp. I only use them when mixing [they were not used on this mix though as per I wanted to try without the headphones for a change].

lyrically / flow / delivery, theyre all there homeboy, just mixed terribly, which is hard if your playing artist and engineer... like me... sometimes you cant mix right after recording cuz ya ears are tired, try and record one day, mix the next day, can work out a whole lot better for you man, just a tip
