lyrically, this is something i can hear from Tech N9ne, or Prozak, but i'd stick with what you were recording with before, was sounding alot cleaner. could b the windscreen thing.

Yeah I think I was just really excited to record something close to completion for the first time in a long time, after listening to this now, I feel I should retract this. Thanks though man, hit me up in a PM sometime if you ever got anything in mind and I will do the same.

| Is this true that Nykoteen did not mix this? I will assume that I've misunderstood either glenlata or Nykoteen and I'll give a few comments about the mix anyway. I'll agree with the consensus and compliment the lyrics, and also the fine performances. This is some good stuff. There are some problems too... The windscreen problem is obvious. And it's amusing that the vocalist addresses the fact. But this audio issue must be solved in order to not be accused of sounding amateurish. I find the weakest link to be the drums. The kick and snare seem a bit wimpy. Not just because they are mixed quietly, but they need some real balls that I don't quite hear. Maybe turn up the drums to match the vocals. Perhaps overdub an additional snare sample to thicken the existing one. Sorry to complain, but I think this recording could be improved to be a really killer track. |

Thank you. And I mixed this, just very minimal. I was told LESS is MORE sometimes. Quote:

i said he didn't mix because in the post he said all he did or NR and excite, yes there are issues with it, but i took that line and assumed that he wasn't finished with the mix, and yes less is more, but the goal is always a professional product. i put whatever i'm gonna put on, and then i slowly trim it off until i get a record that sound raw and alive, but still sounds as close to pro as i can get it. altho i will admit, sometimes i'd rather have a record that sound raw and alive then a record that sounds pro by todays standards. some pro records sound like ass

I usually prefer hi-fi. The whole thing is equally lo-fi which sounds better than some being great and other parts being amateurish. I think the kick needs to come up for sure. If you improve anything else I think parts will start to sound out of context unless you can improve it all It is a cool track and good vibe in the performance IMO. Keep in mind I am not a Rap guy.
