| This band (ESA) never got together so it is just a bunch of tracks of guitar (me) with an ipod drum set. http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/ESA/GIXST001.mp3 This band (The Wilderness) I was recording my friend's backyard show and the guy controlling all of it wouldn't let me touch anything so I sat in the backyard at a desk with two condenser mics pointing at the stage. http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/Wilde...ilderness1.mp3 http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/Wilde...ilderness2.mp3 http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/Wilde...ilderness3.mp3 http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/Wilde...ilderness4.mp3 http://brownierecords.ucoz.com/Wilde...ilderness5.mp3 |

Some good stuff goin on. IMO the drums track needs to be brought forward quite a ways into the mix, and I think you have too much stereo effecting going on. It is very confusing to the ears. But definitely some good ideas.

on the first one: it's very boomy... some eq'ing would be in place. the intro sounds much better than when the two guitars start riffing. i agree on the drums thing, they sound very weak and need to be panned (dunno if that's possible with your setup, not sure what an "ipod drum set" is).
