I like it. The guitar sound is kinda abnormal, but in a good way. The vocalist is like freaking out... haha. It sounds pretty sick. I think it'd make it more intense if he wasn't going all out the entire time. I'm not suggesting he sing clean or anything, just tone the scream down a notch is some spots, so it'd seem even more intense in the other spots. Just my opinion. It sounds good though.

THE MIX: I liked the mix, everything can be heard pretty well and distinct. no complaints here! THE MUSIC: Being a metal head I can't help but wonder what sort of sound you were going for? To me the vocals sound a bit like Burzum, very ambient sort of screeching rather than singing as far as the texture. For that texture however it's a very monotonous vocal range, if he can throw in a couple of lower/gutteral mixed in I think it would really bring out the dynamics in the track. This stuff is all just personal taste of course, but the guitars could have a little more balls I think. They sound very treble-heavy (but then I like my guitar thick and usually with a large amount of palm muting so that makes sense). My only other comment might be to see if you can scoop the EQ on the Bass drum a bit to give it more of a click sort of feel - again personal taste ![]() What are your influences here? When I hear thrash I'm thinking old Slayer, Death Chain or The Crown - this seemed a little bit of a slower tempo compared to that category of thrash. Overall good work though! I'll post something to bash I promise and you can lay into it - I really need a vocalist to throw some tracks on my songs |

waw thanks for replying . . ![]() @Russel: yea the reason for sparse snare and kick drum not being clicky was because it is a live drum track without any trigger/reinforcement employed .. maybe the only "reinforcement" i use was compressor?? you translated your reply in google to indonesian??oww how thoughful of you.. ![]() @razortalon: yea i agree, i think the song would be better if there was a second vocal with different character .. like deicide maybe??? @king 83 thank you for reviewing my mix, the sound they are looking for is scandinavian thrash type . . like black dahlia and in flames . . going to post another mix. . . |
