Hey guys,

Cool song... here's my newbie thoughts: the bass is a little too prominent, so are the vocals... they both stand apart from the mix rather than sitting in it. The only other thing is the distorted guitar. It's too quiet and too raspy. When that kicks in at about 00:51 it should be like a punch in the gut. Other than that I think it's sounds pretty good.

Thanks Skua,

I did some tweaking and uploaded a new mix. Your thoughts seemed to be echoed on other forums that I posted the song. Hopefully I am on the right track...

overall it sounds pretty good. The drums sound nice. the Vox sound good, the rythm guitar is kind of weak and gravely... the bass melody at 2:30 seems in conflict with the other instruments to my ear.. it could be a preference thing.
The Vox sound good generally, but occasionally there is some pitch issues.. not bad, but maybe some gentle pitch correction could really make a good track sound great

I liked the song. Everything except that distorted guitar sounded really good.

Thanks guys,

The distorted rhythm guitar seems to be a noticable point of contention in a few places that I have posted the song...I'll likely re-record that track when I get a chance.
