Default 2 New Recordings

Haven't posted anything here in a long time... but I've been dabbling with some stuff and I've got a few recordings to share.

1. Chicago is an original recorded a few months ago
2. Mad World is a cover of a Tears for Fears song that Gary Jules and Michael Andrews did an adaptation for Donny Darko - my version is more akin to the latter.

Steve Pierce - Alternative / Acoustic / Indie Artist

On either one bash whatever you'd like to.

On Mad World, I didn't look for an acoustic tab or anything, I just kind of adapted the piano parts and strings to 2 acoustic guitar parts based off of the version I mentioned above. So feel free to bash the adaptation/interpretation there too.

*Edit: I looked back and it looks like I did post Chicago before - so comment on that if you like but it's not "new".*

*Edit: Here's the mp3 uploaded to this forum*
Attached Files
File Type: mp3 mad world 12 8.mp3 (3.25 MB, 27 views)

its not really bashing or even talking about your mix.

but you should hear the cover Evergreen Terrace did of mad world. Its neat.

I liked the guitar panning and vocal harmonies on Chicago, but I was waiting for drums to kick in. Even if they were some subtle ones, or some percussion in the background. I think it would sound a little more full if it had em. But then again I am a drummer, so I think every song needs em.

Hah! I saw them for the first time over the summer... they didn't play Mad World though. Funny thing is, I was 1) planning on doing a more metalcore cover of Mad World down the road... strike that one off. And 2) I don't have drums... but I do have drums to that song - just not recorded, and the kick in like half way through kind of like you said. Good call man. Thanks for checking out my tunes!
