Alright folks, I worked hard on this one. Obviously, I didn't sing on it so I brought in a friend (who's too embarrased to put her name on this one ) to sing on it.

I also got help from Sam Phillips ( I think that is last name) from Telemachus for some of the dieing parts.

I did everything else.

The lyrics are hard to understand. Cranking the vocal up loud enough to tell stories ends up sounding like a Disney Channel mix. I opted to maximize my "vision" for the song and just put the lyrics here.

This is pretty sweet - I like the "pre-chorus" with the screaming or whatever. Nice!

I don't get to write many songs. When I do they are generally a bit to offensive to have a chance of winning. I'd be SOOO shocked if I won that I'd do the wrong thing and keep BFD2 for myself.

Actually, I'm intentionally not thinking about it because if I win this contest, I'll be very disappointed. I don't want to win. I want to be accused of having something wrong with me!

This is really neat. The lyrics are indeed a little bit offensive. The only thing I would have added is a heart-piercing guitar solo right about the 3:00 mark... have any shredding friends you could invite over? :P

I started to make this an industrial production but due to time concerns I got lazy. I didn't want to deal with all the work that goes into getting a good guitar sound and all that crap.

I spent most of last week tuning guitars and I was NOT in mood for that again.

On top of that, I hadn't done a fully electronic piece of junk in a while.

I find the vocals hard to hear ......

Yeah, I debated with levels on this one. I think it's impossible to make a scary song where lyrics are important. At least I couldn't find a way. I could have mixed it like a Disney song or a song on Family Guy or something. You would hear every word, but it would sound like Mickey Mouse in the background.

I went this route. Maybe it was the wrong choice. This may be an interesting problem that I'm not used to dealing with. Since I know the words (because I wrote the stupid thing) my brain easily fills in (kinda like at a live show where your brain accounts for inferior sound). I need to be aware of that next time.

It is what it is. I ended up spending dramatically more time on this one than I probably should have. Dance music mixing is extremely time consuming because of all the gimmicks and such. There was a point where I had to cut my losses.
