I was getting ready to ask what this had to do with Halloween, and then I heard the "scary" note.

This isn't Bash This Recording, but I feel inclined to help. The reverb has washed this thing out. Instead of sounding "big" or "ambiant" it just sounds like there is a ton of plugin reverb on it.

Predelay is your friend in these cases. Crank up the predelay up pretty high and readjust your levels and such to avoid the "wash out".
