None of my company's products are made with foam. Our main material is 705 (double density) rigid fiberglass. For bass traps we add a plastic membrane behind the front fabric. This has two purposes: 1) it increases absorption at bass frequencies by about 50 percent compared to the same thickness of plain rigid fiberglass, and 2) it reduces absorption at mid and high frequencies. That lets you use enough bass traps to make a large improvement, without killing all the highs as happens with plain fiberglass and acoustic foam.
