Thumbs up My New Workstation

After working on a makeshift workstation for what seems like forever, I thought it was time to do it up right. I looked around for something I could buy outright, but what I saw was either wildly expensive or just didn’t have everything I wanted.

Now, in addition to music, I do woodworking so building something like this from scratch is quite doable for me. I bought about $200 worth of oak wood and plywood and came up with this workstation/desk. It’s perfect for me since I don’t record bands or anyone else…just me. Hope it gives you some ideas for your own setup.

BTW – I posted more pictures at
Guitar Pedal DIY - Photo Gallery along with descriptions.

Wow. That's cool. I don't think I could do that. But it looks like a nice setup and a beautiful, custom, handmade desk to boot!

Looks great!

Except the quality, it looks like I built it! Well done.

Looks good, but your floor is way to clean!

When you get a chance and some $$$ put some acoustic treatment behind the monitors and bass traps in the corners.

Hey, if I ever need a custom-built console for my SSL I'm gonna get (yeah, I'm in la-la land dreaming) I'll look you up.
