Default DIY Acoustics

New question;

If I'm building my own traps can I...

1. Substitute Roxul Rockboard Mineral Wool for Owens-Corning 705/703 for my materials? Is there any drawback?

2. Can I create a thin sheet metal frame instead of wood, much like what the RealTraps guys use (I think)? If I do this, could I see any issues? (I am aware sound moves ~5x faster through metals)

Thanks!

THIS IS SOLVED. Hey guys, I heard about some sort of fabled, legendary guide to DIY Acoustics here, and I was curious if someone could link me?

I've searched to no avail, only to be lost in an intangible forest of other lost souls in this bottomless ocean we call "room treatment."

Thanks! THIS IS SOLVED

Not sure about the fabled or legendary part but you can try here or you could try looking through the related forum here.
Otherwise, Google is your best friend.

There are quite a few DIY plans on the Internet. Mr. Google will help you find them.

I made for DIY panels last year and found some good websites with step-by-step instructions with pictures.

I don't have any of the links I used handy anymore.
