Default Peavey Vypyr 30

This amp is great, I would definitely recommend it if you want tonal versatility on a tight budget. In my opinion it is the best sounding modeling amp on the market. I've attached a file with an example of the kind of tones you can get with this amp. Instead of the guitar only, I recorded a little sample song with the whole band so you can get an idea of what kind of a rock song you can get from tones on the amp. Enjoy!

Nice tone indeed. How is for bluesy stuff like Stevie ray Vaughn and Marshall crunch.
And the clean tones. Just curious because I've been thinking of getting the 30 watt new crate for a jam amp. Its all tube and can get some good tones. Plus its small and I don't have to break my back carrying around my Twin or the Boogie/ Marshall rig.

I haven't messed with those tones too much so I'm not sure how it handles them but I will try to record and post some examples soon so you can hear how it does.

How did you record the Vypyr? With a microphone or through the direct out?

With a microphone. On this clip I think I used an SM57 close mic'ed, slightly off axis.

Thought I'd post another clip with some lead guitar in it so anyone interested can hear how it sounds with some reverb and delay.
