Let's all try to make a go of this. There are more AAMS users out there. Lift up your voice and be read (heard)!

I got to this forum while searching the internet for AAMS reviews. I've been looking for a way to make my final mixes sound better. I believe AAMS is an easy way of accomplishing that. You may want to experiment with different references until you like one particular sound. One of the things you might want to do is to turn off Auto Record Gain in Options -> DSP Loudness. I feel more comfortable doing this manually. It is my opinion that recordings nowadays are too loud anyway.

What standard references are working for you and can you list the procedure to deactivating or reactivating the processing steps in AAMS?

Chico, I'm not sure what you mean by deactivating/reactivating the processing steps. You can use the wizard for automatic mastering or do the mastering manually.
The reference '@RMS All Music' worked quite well with the music I produce. It really depends on the style you produce. However, you can get better results by referencing existing audio material, like a CD that sounds great to you. Pick a particular track and feed it to AAMS. Then save the analysed results as a reference file (.aam). Next master your own mix (or any of your tracks before mixing) using your own reference file. |

I produced a home CD last year with songs on it I wrote between '96 and '07. You can check out samples of the CD here: Ditrianum Media Center - Multimedia I must add to this that at the time I didn't use AAMS so what you'll here is my own equalization.
