Default What's a decent vocal mic for recording?

What are some suggestions for a good (but not too expensive) vocal mic, for home recording (not live performance)?

Thanks.

Isn't the SM58 a dynamic mic?

My understanding is that condensor mics are better for recording vocals.

But maybe you're thinking more about the price.

How much money are you wanting to spend?

Less than $100, but I'd be willing to buy a decent used mic.

Pretty well any $100 condenser mic will sound similar. I do have a bit of a preference for the studio projects B1.

Studio projects are some of the better Chinese condensers available today. I have a C1 ($199) and it is one of my goto vocal mics.

That's three votes for Studio Projects...sounds like a good mic.

This will be the first real microphone I've purchased (my previous one was a super-cheapo computer mic).

I have a TonePort Line 6 interface, will the Studio Projects B1 work well with that?

Is there anything else, besides the mic and the interface, that you need to record?

Thanks for your help.
