Default Re: What Recording Software Do You Use and Why?

1)Which recording software do you use?
Cockos REAPER 3

2)What sort of work are you doing?
Mostly rock, metal, prog, and all subgenres. Also a lot of acoustic demos for easy money! ;-)

3) What do you love about the program you currently use?
- Endless possibilities, but very easy to use.
- Easiest learning curve of all the apps I've used.
- Compatibility awesomeness
- Small and very stable

4) What do you hate about the program you currently use?
- The only thing I can think of is that it's colour palette isn't very inspiring, but it's customizable so it's all good!

1)Which recording software do you use?
PTLE w/Vista, PTLE w/Win7

2)What sort of work are you doing?
Singer/songwriter, project/pitching stuff: acoustic guitars, vocals, electric guitars, a little keys, a little programmed drums, etc

3) What do you love about the program you currently use?
Um, that it sometimes works.

4) What do you hate about the program you currently use?
How many characters does this comment box allow? I'll start with the installation/authorization process including all the factory plugs, the dongle, the incompatibility with 64 bit (I'll take Vista or Win7 please), the closed hardware system...how much time do you have?

I'm thinking about getting a mac rig and switching to Logic...but that will come after I finish building my isolated basement multi-purpose/single room project studio.
