What do I need to record in surround sound?

I am getting into producing music for film, tv, games. I have about half of my home studio set up and I am not sure how to set up my monitors for surround sound playback. I have 2 monitors and a Presonus FP10 right now. I need to buy a sub and two more monitors but I don't see a way to plug 5 monitors into the Presonus. So my question is... Is there a speaker pre amp I can plug my monitors into then plug into the Presonus; or am I missing something. Thanks for the help.

I don't believe the FP10 is set up to run surround sound. You would need the Presonus Firestudio for that.

According to the Presonus specs, it has 8 outputs. What's the difficulty? You only need 6 for 5.1. The other two probably cover you for headphone outs.

Yeah, I see the out's. I'm just a novice and didn't know the outs could be used as spkr outs. I'll be very excited if I didn't have to upgrade my interface.
