'cause I think it's certainly fuckin' fine to say fuck when in the right fucking context.

While we can debate the level of substance in this couple of sentences, it's fairly obvious that w a r m is still the only censored word.

As I've said before, my personal experience with Presonus has been fantastic. I love my Firestudio. It's made my life dramatically easier. Many users have used the FP10 / Firepod and have been very happy as well.

I liked my Firepod, and I like my Firestudio, except that it annoys the crap out of me at least once a day because of driver bugs. The latest driver almost works, except for it's annoying habit of losing audio (and disabling the remote) when I switch to 88.2k from 44.1, which happens every time I start Cubase. Sometimes, I can get it back by loading a 44.1 project, and then loading the 88.2, but not always.

If there's one thing I don't want to do while I'm trying to make music, it's screwing around trying to make hardware work.

Firestudio's going on Ebay just as soon as I get a different interface.

Uhm,.. Another one bites the dust...

Ive begun to dedicate a morning a week to doing hardware related task... defrags over night, Back ups of projects virus scans... ( I go online on my pcs) Run thru plugins make sure theres nothing wierd going on...

I mean issues are gonna come up and know your hardware is the only way to really be able to deal with them as they arise, but when your constantly going thru it then you gotta look at what its doing to your work flo...

Presonus does a relatively good job doing what they set out to. I doubt that they ever intended to appeal to a professional market, else their equipment might be more expensive.

I own two pieces of their gear, a Firepod and a 6 channel headphone amp. They did what I think they were intended to do; get me started in the world of recording. Reliability costs huge money, which newbies can't afford to spend.

Would I ever consider using their gear over the course of my future audio career? No. Do I regret buying their products? No.

I think they deserve a little love. Just a little.

Well Im glad... I know my experience with them has sucked... And I understand that 1 out of every 10 wont work... but if thats the case and I got that one... Dont have me jumping thru hoops... Just replace it and let me go on making my music in peace.

My War on Pre***** is because of the shitty service and the horrible quality of the unit I received. My Several other interfaces have never let me down... (Once, oh what a day, I was so gonna toss a Konnekted out the window)... And I can count on them when I need them...

I just think that they could have totally handled that situation much better, but since they didnt and or couldnt Im telling the world (atleast my fellow RecordingReviewers) that they to can have a great recording existance with out the horrible PRE*****!!!!

It's interesting how different my experience has been. I got a firepod used from some guy in Boston, he had broken it himself, and already had it repaired once. It was like a year out of warranty, and they still offered to fix it for free, "simply because they felt bad that he sold me one that didn't work." Their fix didn't quite work out, and when I called back, they sent me an advanced replacement, all expenses paid. Perhaps I just got an angelic tech support guy.
