Default Rating Cubase Tutorials

Hello again
I`d like some feedback on the Cubase learning guides available on the market. Does anyone have any experience with these teaching formats?
I know very little about computers, let alone anything about Cubase.
Do they help?
I`ve looked at the following products;
1) Thomson Technologies Cubase4 Power - beginner
Thomson Technologies Cubase4 CSI Master - advanced
2) Digital Music Doctor - Pro Audio Tutorial Package (3)
Mixing & Mastering - Digital Producer - Cubase4
3) Hal Leonard`s Music Pro Guide Cubase4 - beginner
Hal Leonard`s " " " " - advanced
Thanks

Im currently reading this book. Its long I must admit but it breaks down Eeeeeverything Cubase4. I swear it has drastically improved my productivity when using Cubase.

Im far from finished reading this but Im sure when I finish Im gonna skim thru it again and itll be a go to book if the need arises..

Im pretty sure its a textbook... Reads better than THE BUSINESS OF MUSIC (9th Edition) ...Guaranteed to put you to sleep!

I would suggest watching all the Cubase introductions on YouTube and then going to your local book store and thumbing through whatever Cubase books they have. Pick the one that you like the looks of. I really like the Thomson Cubase book that I have.

Not saying any of these books are useless, but have you gone through the manual that comes with Cubase?

Thanks for your input you guys, much appreciated.
I looked into Utube this morning, seems like a good refference point to go to. I looked at a few as well, to get the feel of them. I also went to the video site you suggested Sparqee, there`s an impressive 3 part video I surely will consider, and Thomson technologies; beginner - advanced, will also be a go.
My goal is to make good recordings, and to have fun doing it. I do want to avoid the pitfalls that often come with doing something new, mostly because of lack of information & knowledge issues. I`ve gotten this far in my quest, thanks to the info. that is found on this site. I`ve been able to pick out the gear I would like, because of it.

I have the askvideo dvd's. Three DVD's, about six hours. I could complain about a few things, but they are very good. You can just sit and watch them like a movie on your tv (better than a lot of crap on tv), and you can use them like online video guides on your computer. My biggest complaint is that I would rearrange the content and change some of the emphasis. For example, they show you how to customize the menus in excruciating detail (who cares) many hours before they show how to export a wav file, which gets kind of light treatment. However, I would still recommend them, they are very helpful. The section on the drum map editor alone saved me LOTS of time.

Thanks Rexde,
The only tv I`ve been watching lately is the monitor to my CP. seems to have taken right over! I`ve begun price shopping for the gear I`d like, the cost of these tutorials is included in this research. So it`s important enough.
Thanks.

Hey Anthony
I took your advice and shopped around amazon. The dilemma is I can't seem to get everything from one supplier (trying to keep shipping cost down) I can get all from the USA amazon, and for some unknown reason their CA prices are higher than the prices charged by amazon CA. but I can't get all from amazon.CA. I can get the Thomson Tech. Beginner - Advanced no problem but the Steinberg Cubase 4 tutorial dvd bundle is not available I'd have to get it from a distant music store. another option is to see if the local music store I'm pricing can get them for me.
Mabey I'm not going about this the right way?
