Default Peavey Classic 30 for recording

Hello all

Just wonder what people's experiences are recording with a peavey classic 30. We're doing some shows this summer and I'm real sick of carrying around a half stack for crowds of 200. The other amp I have is a Fender 75 sounds like crap and weighs a ton. I'm getting it for about half price brand new and other than tube rattle at high volumes it seems to sound pretty damn good, just wondering if anyone has recorded with it and had any issues?

The Peavey Classic 30 is a cool amp. A buddy of mine had one back in the day and it was really fun. It's not a super high gain amp, but with a tube screamer in front of it, it can get very mean.

Thanks for the input Brandon, It's actually the Jack Daniels classic 30, but other than cosmetics I think it's the same amp, I think it's going cheap because it's extra $$ for the logo and we drink beer around here. I tried it at practice last night and it's plenty loud enough and with an open back in a corner it's plenty big sounding for a small amp. I don't play high gain stuff other than solos where I use an OD pedal on top of the lead channel and it works quite well.
