Been reading about this unit and it looks very interesting. It has built in fx. How do these work? Do you record to your DAW using these fx? Can you add them to a dry track like a plug-in after the fact?

I was between this unit and the Studio Konnekt48 and the Saphire 56.

I went with the SK48 and have been happy with it. I think they're all pretty good quality at this level. I use the reverb to track with but I record dry for vox. There's also a send from that reverb if I wanted to record it or I could use the FX as plug ins then or at a later time.

Seems like the motu should be able to do something like this but it's hard to know as they don't let you download the manual.

Yeh, they are a bit stingy with their info. If only they would realize that a lot of people (me included) only buy after they have read the manual for a piece of gear.
