Default Maudio Interface and Pro Monitors

Friends,

I would like your help and suggestions on my home recording setup. I have a M-Audio FastTrack USB Interface & M-Audio Studiophile AV 20's

My problem is I do not have quite enough sound. For example, I can not quite seem to be able to turn my system up loud enough. This is true for my recordings and just playing music in general.

Lastly, please keep in mind I am not getting greedy. What I mean by that is, Im not looking for studio sound or to blast my house. Im just saying that my setup isnt loud enough. Where do I need to look to increase my volume. My interface is all the way up. My Monitors are all the way up.

Please help with suggestions......

You can turn up things in your software, use compressors etc. Is your output up near the red on wav files you export?

Tacman,

I never do any exporting but its possible I dont understand what exporting is. All I do is record, save, and then playback.

I have went an bought a yamaha emx 212s amp mixer so, I think I solved my volume problem now as I can get plenty loud.

In a nutshell I can recap and say the Maudio interface just dont have enough power.
