Help! Rookie question, but how do I quantize in Cubase LE?

I ahve Cubase LE 4, been using it for a few months, and have been tediously hammering out tracks with a metronome. However, neither myself or anyone else I have recorded are studio drummers by gift......is there any way to quantize drums as I am recording.....and I think i have a general idea, but what exactly is quantizing? Putting beats exactly on timing?????? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kind of, although not exactly. Quantizing rounds the timing of the input to the next note you've selected (1/8th note, 1/4 note, 1/2 note, etc). This doesn't necessarily mean it will be in musical time though.
