Default Have I picked the right card?

Firstly hello all,
Great site and community and the Audio Wizard helped un-cloud my mind a little . I think after a weeks worth of looking I'm going to go with the Emu 0202 but I'll list my requirements here anyhow in case anyone here sees a problem or has a better recommendation. Thanks again for a great site and I'll be around for sure.

My Laptop & Gear
Toshiba Satellite A305 Special Edition s6916
Windows7 x64
4GB ram
Core2 Duo 2.1ghz
500GB HDD
ATI mobility HD3650

Korg Nano Key usb keyboard
Fatar Studiologic 161 keyboard via UM-1EX connection
Rode NT1000 mic
Shure SM58 mic
Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones

Software:
Sonar 8
Adobe Soundbooth
NI Komplete 5
East/West Colossus

Requirements: Audio interface
usb2.0/firewire 400/esata
mic amp 2x inputs would be nice
Guitar/Bass in
Headphone out suitable for my HD280's
Don't need midi i/o but a bonus if there.
Need an audio interface that is portable, to fit in laptop bag with other gear, and if possible without a power adapter.

Any ideas would be very welcome as I have searched around for a week now and cannot make my mind up at all. Got confused as I trawled though the jungle of gear out there. Decided against M-Audio after hearing many horror stories.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Matt

Welcome! With very limited experience with this product my impression is that it will be just fine.

This is one I'm not sure about. Does the Emu 0202 have bus powered capabiities?

Cannot see any input for power on it so it must be USB.

If this EMU is bus powered, it should work fine for what you need The Tascam US122 and US144 are also BUS powered for being mobile, pretty solid built interfaces as well.

Anything this low of budget and features would all be relatively equal. Just look and the in's and out's to make sure it have preamp plus Hi-Z(guitar and bass direct) input combos, and whatever monitor outs you need (RCA for a home stereo, TRS or XLR for studio monitors, or just headphones)

Looks good. But --
Take a look at the emu 0404 and the edirol ua25ex also.
Some sites (Kellys eg) will give you a feature by feature comparison chart on any devices you pick.
edirol is on sale now being closed out
the new cakewalk version of the ua25ex will cost a lot more.

If the price delta is not that bad, you might want the extra capacity someday.

Decided to go for the EMU 0404 as I wanted phantom power more than I did not want the power adapter. Read some reviews too and it seems just what I need. I'll upload some stuff to the site when I get it next week. BNIB 120GBP off eBay. With the exchange rate as it is thats about 1000nok (Norway). I priced one up in a local shop for 3000nok so I'm happy.
