and yes it is a subwoofer which all my speakers are plugged into.

hey again, thanks for the help last time.
but i have a new question.

when i record through my mixer, what would i have to do to set each channel on my mixing desk a different channel on my Audio workstation?

Behringer should have diagrams in the Manual. There are a couple run-throughs on the web, also. I think I found two web pages from posts on this forum that helped me a lot.

I just run it through a regular sound card and keep my USB interface open.

You have to have a BUS that has physical ports beyond stereo channel a and b.

I can't find the forum links. One dude has a B&W avatar of him holding a cat - sorry I can't recall his name. He goes through some Mackie hook-ups.

I just searched google mackie mixer hook-up and found a few.

With my lesser Behringer 1002fx, the manual was pretty good, but the web pics and explanations cleared up the confusion a bit.

Well, I would just get the toneport working and worry about the mixer later. The computer will still be limited to the two channels of the toneport. Make sure the toneport is active in the windows system sound mixer and that no other sound device is active.
