Firestudio Proj. w/rebate Inspire 1394 Setup
I just purchased a Presonus Firestudio Project waiting for the 1394 "One for the road rebate" to use for the midi keyboard at church setup. Yea, I will need to figure out a midi connector for USB? I wonder if I should have just gone with the FP10 instead. I could have used the extra $.
I still have my old D50 at home, a real Cp70B piano. allot more stuff and my son's Pearl Drum set that needs cymbals. Just purchased a Dell XPS M150 for the music setup. This is the best thing I could swing. I also just got a AKG Perception 200 Mic, a good cheap bass, Audio Technica ATH-M40fs Precision Headphones. I'm holding off on some BX5a monitor, mic's and cymbals as I may need the money for software or what else might be needed to get this going.
I play in a pretty rocking church. I really am a newbie here with this stuff, though. I love it. I wanted to expand the keyboard setup for use with some good basic VST instruments. Any good free VSt stuff out there? I'm not sure whats' included with Cubase 4LE and the Propak v.3 but Presonus tells me there's allot there. I don't see much for vst instruments and Cubase LE4 I guess doesn't have too much. Will I probably have to invest in an update? I could only find an old list on the "Steinberg" site. Probably in German right? How much would that be? Could anyone fill me in on if I've picked a good setup for what I want to do? Any suggestions for the portable setup? Thx so much for any help!
