| Inconsistent kick level/attack: I've heard in dg your can use the recorded wave as sort of a trigger for sample or ever "sample" the sound of the kick that your are recording. I'm not nessesarily a big fan of samples, but if you can use a sample from the kit your are recording...(I just afraid that it will get machine gun like). I've also heard that you can use samples and the natural sound of the kit in dg to blend it to a percentage? I'm just wondering if my assumptions are correct. |

Okay cool in that case I think its a must have. Wondering do you get a bunch of samples along with the program? What version is the best, probably the new one duuu.

Just forgot to mention that you get about 100 samples. i didnt mean to make it sound like you dont get many useable samples with the full version. Youll get some stuff you like and some you dont care for. Its about 50/50 for me.

yea all you said is true i like it a lot the only thing is if ur not using triggers...that is you insert drumagog on recorded samples with mics, ive had a big problem with triggering for snare rolls and basically anything played quickly. this is probably cause of toms ringing out and such, maybe triggers will solve the problem im having but overall it works great.

I've used drumagog, and it's ok. I work with Sonar though and prefer to use the audio snap function. It's much more accurate and I can then run it through BFD2(or whichever rewire/soft synth I choose) and I can also insert hits that may not have been picked up. I don't know what software you're using. It may have a similar function, and if it works half as good as Sonar's you shouldn't need drumagog. |
