Anyone ever use the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R USB Interface

Any thoughts? I'm considering it, But the USB scares me. Would Latency be an issue?

Hi Kevin,
I just got though days of trying to get the thing working properly.
When it does, it repeatedly and unexpectedly drops out and Logic7 won't recognise it's existence.
I've applied all the fixes (from the M-Audio site) and it still drops out.
I have finally given up and I will be sending it back.

I was on a Mac OSX 10.4.11 based system which they claim it works on.

There are a lot of people making comments about this device in a negative sense on the net, but some claim they have had no problems.
Personally, I am not paying another 200 pounds sterling for days of unnecessary grief.
If you still go for it then I hope you have more success.:

I just feel after it's dropped out so many times that I just can't trust it.
