Default addictive drums with an electric kit?

Im considering buying an electronic drum kit so I don't hav to program drums forever. Can I run an electronic kit into my computer with midi, and use the sounds on addictive drums? Im new to the whole midi thing so I needs help understandings.

Yes.
You could play the drums to a click.
Record them to a midi track (audio tracks too if you wanted)
Then you could send the midi track to addictive drums and use it's sounds.
However, you are probably aware that you got a lot of preset beats with addictive
drums, so you could start with them.
When you paste them into your song you can edit them too by adding or removing hits.
