Your receiver has a pre-amp section and a power amp section. You want to send signal from the pre-amp section to the powered monitors. That is usually a RCA type connector on the back of the receiver. I don't know if you'll have a post EQ type send though, you may only have a tape monitor and that would mean that you would have no volume or tone controls. What ever you do, DON'T hook up the powered monitors to the SPEAKER output jacks in the back of the unit. This is for passive and not active speakers. Doing this would probably damage one or both units.
