Hey, I signed up for this forum in search for help. I have been having some trouble with my Tascam DP-02. All of my 1/4" inputs work fine (instruments, etc), however my XLR inputs (mics) are giving me some trouble. When I plug in a mic, I can't hear anything when not recording or during recording. However, if I record then play it back, I can hear what was recorded. I never used to have this problem until recently. Please help me out. -John |

Well, it seems like the input stage is working all right. This has to be a monitoring issue, but not being familiar with your machine I'd hesitate to offer specific advice. Check what your manual says about sending signals to the monitor outputs, or directing a channel to a particular output bus, or adjusting the monitor level while recording, or adjusting the monitor level once a track is armed. (Just for starters.) It's probably staring you in the face! Good luck Chris
