Default Tascam Dc-02 Cf

greetings im a new member here . i just bought my first home recording kit, Tascam dc-02 cf and yeah i just come across my first pitfalls!!

my problem is that when i want to record and hear the playback i get no sound .
i cant hear what i have recorded . i have read the manual ( the only thing i follow). Everytime i beginn i come across this problem, the play button above the master fader doesn't light on when i press shift and play at the same time.

If you out there have the same recording studio , hopefully y o know what i mean and you could help me.

many thanks

I moved this thread to Standalone Recorders hoping that it would get some attention. I've never touched a Tascam DC02 and wouldn't know where to start.

Can you hear anything at anypoint?

If you need Phantom power, have you pressed the phantom button?

Is the input assigned? Is the input level turned up?

Is the headphone level up?

Are the track volume sliders up?

Have you pressed record on the track number and on the recording deck?

Thats all I could think of too. I figured everything out with the manual. You might want to check out the pdf. I will attach a link.
