 Roland VS840
Help! I've just got my hands on an old Roland VS840 to do some recording. I'm just getting to grips with the unit but being a bit niaive and inexperienced when it comes to recording, I was unaware of the limitations that a zip drive would present when it came to producing a final CD. Can anyone tell me how easy it is to tranfer the music to PC and if this can be done via the phono outputs (I don't want to buy an additional zip drive for the PC if I can help it). What is the best cheap or free software that can deal with this? I haven't looked yet but would Windows media player handle it? The tracks will have reached final mix by this stage and will only be requiring transfer to a hard copy CD. Could be I'm just being stupid but as I'm new to all this, it's to be expected.
