Hi, I've had a 1608 for a long time but have never got to grips with the hugely unintuitive drum section! Today I want to do one simple thing but cannot get it to work! I have recorded a song and decided it really NEEDS drums! I don't want to use the prepared beats as there's a tricky time signature part (plus I don't know how!). All I wish to do is to assign a track to record, hit record and tap the drum pads with my fingers along with the track. Have followed the manual by pressing the utilty, bounce, Rec Src and Drum Trk and then hitting Bounce, but still can't get it to record when I play along! I'm sure it's ever so simple to do! Can anyone guide me through what I'd imagine to be a fairly rudimentary process? Any help will be much appreciated! Ta Mark |

Ahhh, have figured it out now. It does work as above, for some reason it won't play back the first time. I have to stop the track and restart it and THEN I can hear the recorded drums! Weird...

You shouldshare how you did that. Some things on that machine are NOT intuitive. It is also possible to have 2 different sounds on the stereo tracks like say 13/14 or 15/16 if u really need them
