Default Internal Mics are Noisy!!

I just received my BR-600 and overall it seems like it will work out very well.

However, is there a secret to quieting down the internal mics? They do a good job, nice clear crisp recording of my acoustic guitar and voice, but the recording had a lot of white background noise.

Look in the manual in the effects section to find the specific effect that reduces white noise (can't remember the name) and program all the effects you use regularly to include that parameter. For using only the internal mic try turning the plug in inputs all the way down, and the big knob input up all the way (just below fuzz point). Seemed to help a little bit. . .
