I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience recording with the Boss BR600, or similar digital recorder. I am looking at purchasing one soon and am looking for as many reviews/opinions as possible. Thanks

Try doing a search here. There have been quite a few people discussing them recently.

i have one such recorder =) it's a great tool if you don't really want to record per-se, i see it more as a demo making thingy. obviously, sound quality doesn't match that of something running with a stack of dedicated ADDA converters, but a being a tone-whore myself, it hasn't made me wince yet.
it works with pretty much anything (input wise) as long as it's aimed at being recorded in takes. and it's pretty much self contained. and for a real recording i'd go to a real studio(once the demo is made of course). |

ive recently bought a 600 mainly for recording ideas etc a songwriting tool. ive found it easy to use but i did read the manual extensively! the only problem ive had with it is when ive tried to export to my pc as far as i can make out you have to do it track by track? is this right? i followed the manual but cant figure out where im going wrong can anyone help?

The only problem wwith the 7/8 track is it would never download onnto my computer(old computer). So I would run it into a sony cd burner and burn my cd connected to the boss. Probably not the best, but worked okay for me. I am presently planning to build a computer and I am researching all the necessities for a low budget home studio.

I have xp and the min problem I believe was their definitions of a song or maybe the way I would use the mixdown feature. Anyway I bypassed all that and bought a sony cd 5disc dhanger, recorder, it does a great job. It will record directl from the boss br600 with aset of rca cables. I t costs 365.00 at Best Buy
