depends on your budget and needs of course, but 2 mics that I like a lot in the cheaper range is a shure sm7b ($350) and I also like the oktava mods that Michael Joly is doing at OktavaMod - Affordable Boutique Microphones. I got a used mk319 for $100 and had it modded for $250, so for $350 got a very stellar mic that to my ears sounds better than my more expensive ones most times.

I own about 10 mics that I typically use on vocals, give or take. I always use the one that brings out the most good stuff in the singer.
