I have one of these and I really like it for the production value. Very versatile. It has plenty of controls for tonal adjustment for different guitars. There is an overall level knob, a "q" control knob, and a wah range knob. First off, the range knob controls how much of the signal is effected. Think of it as a filter (e.g. you can effect only the upper registers, leaving the bass tones uneffected, which is essential for bass wah). I use the q knob as an "intesity" control. Whether I want a deep pronounced wah or a subtle effect only. And lastly, the level just evens out from bypass to on. The other cool thing is that you can set the pedal to be "normally" operated, step on the on / off switch and use the pedal, or as a spring loaded pedal, where, the pedal returns to it's upright position by using a spring, and when you want to engage the wah, you just step on the pedal, and it is instantly on. Use the pedal for a while, and when you take your foot off, the pedal returns to upright and switches off. The time delay from when the pedal returns to the unit switching off is controlled by a small knob under the top portion of the pedal itself.
All in all, to me, it is a good pedal to have in a home studio, because I have found it useful with a variety of guitars, amps and even basses.
