Quality: 10
steal of a deal, I recorded about 20 albums and played lives shows with this pedal. Man throw it in your guit case. it does 8 f/x at one time, sounds great, stereo, amp modeling, just sweet, drum machine tuner.basically if you have a cheezdick practice amp, faggy fender 15 wt sadster or shitass cheapo amp, slap this mug in front of it and you got ya a beast no joke. Try preset 2 man, screamin deamon marshall bad boy.I used to always bring it to bar "jam sessions", until you couldn't smoke in bars, because they would always give you this shitty little peavey backstage mush amp to play through, so I would slap in the rp-50 bad boy of rock and then it was "dam eddie van halen jr",awwwweeee mmaaaann, I was sqwealin all over the place, brought the house down with my billy gibbons pick scrapes, finger tappin out some dueling banjoes with eddie precision, playing the guit with my toes, lickin out a few pinch harmonic licks with mah tongue, sweepin licks behind my back, heck I even started breakdancin yehhhhaahhhhh and that was before the jam started....

Reliability: 10
got 2, pedals gete scroungy after a while

Overall Rating: 10
man, I thought the rp-100,200,300 all sucked but loved the rp-50 for its simplicity and great sounds no joke. Its just a cool little pedal that replaced 2 racks of older rack guit gear. And yes you can store your own tweaked presets!!! Its not a toy,no joke and while I enjoy the pro sounds I get with the pod xt live, The rp-50 is much more FUn to play , cant explain why, just the feel of it. Oh yeah I used it on a metal album just a couple of weeks ago called guitar shrimp (...soon to be available at amazon.not to toot me horn but to show that the rp-50 really can have decent guit sounds...),man the rp-50 through a crate v33 tube amp gave me these really frightening metal guit tones no joke man, some were just crazy sounding ,especially with seymour duncan invader pickup..I mean overdrive on crate and then add rp-50 for just brutal tones, but still controlled and clean for recording ....oh yeah ,for real I recorded my 6th through 23rd albums with the rp-50 (see DTGUITAR.com Official Website of Guitarist Denis Taaffe !!!!) ,I then switched to pod xt live, but still like to whip out the rp-50 from time to time. Man they are about vintage I am tryin to corner the market on em before they disappear into the abyss of guit stuff.yeah I'll have a pedalboard with like 300 rp-50's linked together, but you can do a lot with just one for the price of 4 packs of strings.
