I love the L2! I was telling an engineer about it who uses the the L1 on almost everything. He thought the L2 was too brickwall so to speak. I use it as the final step on my Masters channel. I think it is very musical. But what do I know...

I mostly use the L2 on my final master channel - does the job well.

I've used it on separate tracks and subgroups (drums mainly) and you can get the drums to sound HUGE! The trick is to get rid of the ARC (automatic release control).

Push up the release and drag down the threshold level - use your ears until it sounds good - you get that classic pumping and breathing effect that is similar to some analog units. Try it on the master as well.
