 Still using Logic 6 on PC/Laptop?
I am setting up a portable recording rig and intend to purchase a HP DV seriers laptop to load up my Logic 6 software plus internet, outlook and other M$ products with a wireless network to my home PC. (I would love to be able to afford a separate "music only" mac but wife and 3 kids precludes this choice - for now). Is there a new laptop out there supporting Win XP (of which i have a new copy) that does all the stuff required for Logic 6? My interface of choice is firewire (Presonus Firestudio Project) BUT with Vista Family let loose on all the Windows machines here in the UAE what are the issues? Will any Firewire port do? Intended recording purpose is classical choirs/ensembles so 3 or 5 inputs max, limited Dig I/O but love playing with Midi/outboard gear. Cheers, phil  |
