Default Sample Editor issues/ Logic Guru needed.

I am having an issue with Logic Studio 8 using the Sample Editor.
I will be as specific as I possibly can, so anyone reading can visualize exactly what is happening.
I just recorded a song that seems to have phasing issues on the lead vocal track! The Vocal track literally vanishes in places when playing along with the accompaniment. This seems to be due to Phase cancelation and hence needs to be inverted in the Sample Editor. It appears that interaction between the Bass and Vocal track are causing the problem, which is not unusual. At least that is the most likely scenario.
While that seems straight forward enough, I can't get that vocal track (Or any track for that matter) to open inside the Sample Editor screen, where it needs to be in order to invert the phasing.
The Sample Editor is stuck on an earlier drum track, and I just can't switch it out. In fact I have a couple parts Id like to work on in the SE that can't be touched at present.
Have I locked a button I shouldn't have? Or is there some other reason that could lead to this issue? and obviously has anybody got any ideas on how to get around this issue?
Is there another way to get tracks over to the Sample Editor other than opening the Sample Editor then highlighting the track in the main Arrange screen / thus importing it across?
The issue only seems to be present on this one song, as I can use it perfectly in other recording projects. This makes me think I may have locked this drum sample into the screen somehow, and need to undo that locking function, but I have no idea of where or what.
I bet it is something really freaking simple, that makes me look like a right goose, but it has me totally stumped, so hopefully there is a Logic Guru out there (Or somebody else who has had the same problem and fixed it)
In the mean time I will upload a mix of the song "2 Weeks"to the Bash recording section so you can hear for yourself what is happening. I have tried to circumvent the issue as much as I can by boosting and doubling vocals where needed, but it is still present in places.

Cheers guy n girls.

I'm no logic guru but you can invert the phase with the gain plug that is in utilities. There is a phase invert on it.

I rarely use the sample editor, but if you just double click on an audio region, it should open in the sample editor. Does that work for you?

G'day Boo,
No, that is how it is supposed to import samples to the sample editor, but it is not doing as it is meant too. However on every other song it is working fine, so it appears to be a localized problem in this recording making me believe I may have somehow locked the drum track into that editor, and need to unlock the feature.
I'll try that gain invert thing and see if it works for me.

Cheers

Thanks Boo, you are a God.
Didn't completely cure the issues but it made them far less noticeable so I can work around them now.
I had to invert both the Bass and Vocal tracks, as they appeared to be clashing with the Keyboards as well, then just changed the vocal reverb Plug ins to a different patch and they sounded clearer. Not yet perfect but I am sure I'll find a way to get them more in line with how I hear them in my head. (Along with all those other little voices and alarm bells that are making a bloody racket up there)
I reckon after I eq the bass a little it might help separate the tracks a bit more and kill a few more Gremlins for me. Always gets annoying when you are this close to having the mix right and silly little things are becoming evident.
Ciao 4 now
Ken

I'm stumped on this one. I would look in your audio bin and see if there is a lock on anything. Also open an environment window and see if anything is soloed or looks weird. Maybe copy the track to a new track and delete the one you have?
