Recording my td-12 in garageband help!

Hi guys
I have a problem.
When i try to record my drumkit in garageband nothing happen.
I use a macbook pro and a emu 1x1 midi to usb cable to record.
Garageband mention that i connected a midi cable.
Please help

You're sending midi data to garageband, which is not audio. If you want to use the sounds in your td-12 module, you have to send audio, and you will need a different interface for that. However, you can use your td-12 to trigger a software instrument inside garageband, with the cable you have. Load whatever garageband uses for a drumkit into a channel and record enable it. You should then be able to trigger the sounds with your td-12.

I have another question.
What kind of cable and software do you need to record your sounds in your module? Maby that is a good option for me.

I don't use garageband, but I had a quick look at it.
Create a software instrument track
Load a drumkit into it
record enable the track
use midi out of your td-12 via your emu into the computer
set any preferences needed in garageband
that should work

In order to record audio you have to get an interface that will accept 1/4 cables from your td-12. there are more expensive and less expensive ones out there. I use a motu ultralite. Try the soundcard wizard on this site to narrow down possibilities.
