Hi there! First post for me, although I've been registered for some time now. Never really had anything useful to say before
![]() So here goes the question - is it possible to use multiple audio interfaces simultaneously in Logic? I've got Logic Express (the Pro version is a bit too expensive for me) and a Mackie Spike (that has 2 analog inputs plus Midi and sigital in/out). I was thinkin' about recording some drums for the first time and I need at least 3 inputs for that so I thought about buying a Mackie Onyx Satellite to add another 2 inputs. The problem is I've tried to use both the spike and the onboard soundcard (just to test it out) and I don't seem to get them recording simultaneously, so i suppose the Onyx will do just the same. So what say you? I know the forum isn't really densely mac populated Any help would be appreciatedjhanzair PS - Yeah I know nobody really likes Spikes and all (and I've never managed to make it work in my PC, but in my mac, which is my main thing, I didn't really have to do anything) but I really like it. Maybe it's first love or something like that. Or due to the fact of being in the other side of the ocean (writing from Portugal ) |

Well, nobody really answered, but I got it anyway. In case someone needs it, the procedure to use multiple audio devices at the same time in Logic (and in any other application running on a mac, I guess) is here Apple - Pro - Techniques - Maximize Your Inputs with Aggregate Audio, p. 1. You simply aggregate all the devices ou wnt to use into one device composed of all the audio inputs and outputs of the original devices, then ou select it in the application as your audio interface. Quite nice actually!
