Mac os x 10.5.6 us-122l and logic 7

Hi. I have downloaded the upgrades i needed for the us-122l but logic wont recognise it. the record buttons dont come up on the audio track. Basically, in system preferences the name of the device comes up but says the selected device has no imput/output controls, even though the meter responds when I talk into the microphone. When I go into logic and use the set up assistant it doesnt detect my device, it only has built in microphone, built in input and built in output. Then under midi devices I can add new device and write up details to no avail. I also have garage band and cubase light edition and the same goes for both of them. Whats happening? I will be a very happy girl if anyone knows. Thank you. Rachel

did you turn on the 1221 first before your computer for my motu it will read the divice but won't be alble to use turn the device on before your computer and see if that will work

Thanks for your response. Yes I tried that to no avail. I even uninstalled and reinstalled logic.

Is your mac a new model? If it is, your tascam may not be compatible yet..read this thread. Apple - Support - Discussions - Tascam US-122 incompatible with late ...
From what I understand, the tascam has been a headache for lots of folks.

Thank you again for responding. I have the tascam us 122l which is supposed to work on the new macs. But seems to have similar problems to the tascam 122.

I have recently bought a Macbook running os x 10.5.6 and I have a Tascam us-122L. I have used the us-122L with no problems on my windows PC before with Cubase LE but I can't get it working with the mac. I have read many forums with comments and it does seem to be a compatibility thing. For some reason it will work with garageband ok, and the mac recognises it in the utilities audio section but Logic and Cubase LE will just not recognise it at all. I also just bought a powered usb hub which I had heard may work but this hasn't helped at all. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this? Thanks, Joe
