Default Logic Pro

When I was in Canada a few years back recording songs in a studio, they used Logic Pro. And to me (being a noob in this whole world) it seemed pretty awesome. Of course, I wasnt the one using it, but watching the sound engineer operate it made me think "this is the recording program God uses"

I've been thinking about getting it, but its a bit expensive + you would need a pretty good mac to operate... so there's quite a bit of money involved.

Any opinions on logic pro? Does anyone here use it?

Nope. I use Cubase SX3.

In all seriousness, Logic Pro is damn good, Cubase SX3 (or the new 4) is damn good, Pro Tools is damn good, Digital Performer is damn good, Sonar is damn good, etc. You get the point.

The high end tools today are all amazing.

You probably have seen that Logic Studio just was released by Apple and it has Logic Pro 8 plus a whole bunch of other great stuff, too much to name, just check it out, and Steve Jobs dropped the price to $499 for the whole package. I've been on some mac forums and Logic users are in heaven.

i've gotta say - just picked up logic 8 and i'm blown away! i've been a DP/Sonar user for years and i can't see myself ever switching back. Logic 8 is so unbelievably intuitive and the included plugins sound amazing! haven't had any crashes either - something that drove me nuts about DP. i absolutely loathed previous versions of logic (especially when emagic was making it) because of it's price tag and extremely confusing interface. with this release apple has halved the price and really crammed a lot into the package as far as plugins and software instruments go - looks like the score editor is pretty badass too. i highly recommend it - especially if you're new to the game and are looking for a very robust program for the mac at a reasonable price. jesus, i should work for apple. haha.
