Logic / Firestudio Problems...

Help,

I have a Presonus Firestudio and I cannot get it to sync with my computer. When I am recording, Logic tells me that the clock is not correct (sorry, I gave up a while ago and have been writing my doctoral preliminary exams, so I've been a bit distracted from what's REALLY important)

Anyway, I have that problem AND I cannot get my headphones to output my already recorded tracks while I play on top of them. What I really need is a document that has all of the settings I need for OS 10.4.11 and Logic Express 8. Does anyone have such a document? Please help, I spent a bunch of cash on this rig and still can't get it to function as it should. I would love to record my band's jam sessions and also get some tracks in the studio.

Do you really think I haven't tried that? Anyone else want to give it a try? I could use some actual help as opposed to RTFM, which I have done. I'm a doctoral student, not a dumbass.

I think irawan was just responding to your request for a document. Do you have your preferences set correctly in Logic and in your audio/midi setup in tiger? And do you have the current driver off the presonus site for the firestudio?

I may need to get the driver, I will check. I have had it for a while and used it on a Powerbook G3 (not an Intel) flawlessly. However, since transferring to the Intel-based MacBook I have had those problems. As for my preferences, I am a bit unsure of what "correctly" includes. I have them set as per the manual, but it is not as specific to my setup as I would like. Are you running a Firestudio w/ and Intel - 10.4.11 (tiger)? I'll check for the driver. Any ideas on settings for the clock in both the Presonus (Firestudio Software)or Logic?

Does the error you get say that it "cannot sync audio and midi?" Or is it something else?

It's something else, I'll reproduce it tonight and post. I know it's a little vague right now, but I'll clear it up ASAP. Thanks for checking back. Look for it this evening.

OK, so I didn't get to it last night, I had an exam this AM that I needed to study for. I think it went OK. I'll see what I can get done tonight / tomorrow and take copious notes as I go through the process. Thanks for the support.
