I am a newbie to all this. I have a DR-670 Dr.Rhythm drum machine, an axiom 25 midi controller and macbook pro with Logic Pro. I need to figure out if there is any way I can control the drum machine through axiom 25 and Logic. Can I record midi output from the drum machine into Logic? I ask this because the DR-670 has only an audio out and a midi out. I need a way to get the midi out into the computer. |

Yes this is quite possible. Connect a midi cable from the midi out of your drum machine to the midi in of the axiom. Then connect the axiom to your macbook via the usb cable. Logic will recognize the additional ports as "axiom" for input from the axiom keys and axiom pads, and "axiom port 2" for input from the drum machine. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll try this out. I tried connecting sometime before, but it didn't work, and I must have done something wrong. Now that I know its possible, I'll work it out.
